Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled the lead 11 minutes later. The Armenian drifted into the box to sweep home Alex Iwobi’s cross for his fifth Premier League goal of the season. The goals were enough to secure a 2-0 win which leaves Saints in the relegation zone.

Arsenal Face Bournemouth next, Bournemouth will visit the Emirates Stadium in midweek . Southampton, meanwhile, have a must-win game at home to Fulham that same night.
